Basic Job Functions:
• Filing, freight/vendor bills, AP assistance, overseeing project/production files, answer phones, and organize information
• Company ERP system – Entering basic quote info, convert simple quotes to sales orders, production planning, transport planning, job reference, material POs, production recording, updating transports
• Initial understanding of Skyline business, process flow, products, file set up
• Attend training on various subject matters, as well as complete trainings that are available on WebEx and on an ad hoc basis
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counts
• Participate in safety committee and plant safety initiatives
• Prepare BOL’s for outbound shipments via truck, UPS, Fed-Ex, LTL, Etc.
• Record management/safety meetings
• Coordinate plant events (picnic, luncheon)
• Track and record daily/weekly pay for production metrics
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 1-3 years of administration experience in a production environment
• Excellent verbal communications abilities, strong confidence in speaking to audiences
• Proficient in MS Office, excellent computer skills
Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is preferable
